Line a pan with parchment paper. Clean and trim asparagus then place on prepared pan.
Add olive oil, garlic and salt to asparagus and toss to coat. Place in oven to roast about 10 minutes.
Remove asparagus then place cheese on top. Place under broiler just until cheese melts. Serve.

Tips for success:If possible, choose medium to small asparagus stalks for the most tender and flavorful results. Watch closely during roasting as it is very easy to go from perfect to tough in a short time! Also, watch closely when melting the cheese during the final step. It won't take long at all.
