Greek yogurt makes a delicious low carb dip to add to gyros wraps or to serve with veggies. In less than 15 minutes, you can recreate your favorite Mediterranean flavors at home!

Greek Yogurt Tzatziki DIp

This recipe originally published in March 2015 and updated with all new step by step instructions, photos and expert tips.

This is the tzatziki Greek yogurt dip recipe for Easy Greek Chicken when used as a Greek Chicken Pita Wrap or in a Greek salad. You will have plenty of dip,  so be sure to have some fresh veggies or whole wheat pita bread on hand to use as dippers. I find the flavor is best after the dip has set for at least 30 minutes.

What is Greek yogurt dip (Tzatziki)?

Tzatziki is a sauce or dip consisting of Greek yogurt, cucumbers, garlic, olive oil and other seasonings. It is used as a condiment on Greek gyros wraps or a dip for veggies and/or pita bread.

Why this recipe works:

  • Uses full fat Greek yogurt for a rich and creamy taste.
  • Uses food processor to fully incorporate the cucumber flavor throughout and provides a uniform texture to the sauce.
  • Use this sauce on our Greek Chicken Pita Wrap or Low Carb Gyros Bowl!

The main ingredients:

  • Greek yogurt- try full fat yogurt for delicious flavor and richness
  • Cucumber- use a small or ½ a medium cucumber
  • Lemon Juice
  • Garlic
  • Dill- fresh is best but you may also use dried dill.
