Roasted corn is an easy and fun recipe you can make year round. Step by step instructions show you how to roast canned corn kernels or frozen corn in the oven.  Makes a delicious side dish or snack!

What is roasted sweet corn?

Roasted corn in the oven is very easy and makes canned corn or frozen corn kernels taste so much better!  Oven roasted corn is a super simpler side dish or snack- the oven does all the work so you can prepare your entree or other side dishes. Simply prepare the corn then roast til done.

How To Make Roasted Corn:

  1.  Start by placing all ingredients in a mixing bowl - photo 1 below.
  2. Mix ingredients well- photo 2 below.
  3. Spread corn mixture in a single layer onto parchment lined pan- photo 3 below.
  4. When corn is golden brown and crunchy, remove from oven- photo 4 below.

Expert Tips for Making Roasted Corn in the Oven

  1. Use  canned or frozen corn- either will work.  If using canned corn, be sure to drain well.
  2. Adjust seasoning to your liking.  Use more or less salt, seasoned salt, smoked or regular paprika or other seasonings as desired.
  3. Be sure to keep corn in a single layer on baking sheet to help the roasting process.
  4. After roasting time is up, turn the oven off and leave the corn in the oven until it reaches preferred level of crunchiness.

Ingredients

  • 10.8 oz frozen sweet corn
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika or your favorite seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • In a medium to large bowl, mix all ingredients.
  • Pour corn mixture onto baking sheet and spread evenly to single layer.
  • Roast for 20-30 minutes until golden and crunchy. Stir once or twice while roasting.
  • Note: watch carefully after 20 minutes to prevent corn from burning. If corn is not crunchy enough, turn the oven off after roasting and leave the pan of corn in the oven for 15-20 minutes or as desired.
