    yogurt covered blueberries

Fresh blueberries make an awesome frozen snack- especially dipped in Greek yogurt. Blueberries are one of the healthiest foods you can eat- they are loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and fiber. Try this fun way to get the whole family involved in the kitchen!

This recipe originally published May 2021, now updated with new images, instructions and tips.

Did you know blueberries are only 80 calories per cup? In addition, they contain fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, manganese and potassium! Yay for blueberries!

This recipe is a lifesaver when you need a great snack or dessert that is super easy and doesn't require the oven. I make these all summer long! I usually use vanilla Greek yogurt, but this recipe will work great with any flavor. Once the blueberries are frozen, I remove them from the tray and either eat them immediately (usual scenario) or freeze them in plastic containers for later. Yogurt covered blueberries will last in the freezer sealed for 1-2 months.

Kids love this recipe not only because it is delicious, but also because it is a great way to let them help out in the kitchen. No special equipment is needed and no hot stove or oven to navigate. The hardest part is waiting for the blueberries to freeze!

Be sure to leave the blueberries in the freezer at least an hour for the yogurt to form a nice coating on the berries. This is a great way to get kids to eat fruit. They will have lots of fun dipping the blueberries in Greek yogurt!

Can I use already frozen blueberries or do they have to be fresh berries only frozen for about an hour?

I’ve never made this recipe with frozen blueberries. Seems like it would work though!
